Continuing EA Recertification Program

FEAC™ has instituted an triennial process for CEA credential renewals, similar to other professional organizations. All certifications beyond the initial year re-certification requirement, as of January 1, 2009, need to file qualified EA Development Units (EADUs) representing activities proving achievement of the requirement of 20 EADUs per year. The process for all new graduates starts the first January, three full years after the date of graduation. For further details on EADUs and initial recertification, see the CEAR Program FAQs.

Please follow the CEAR Program Checklist below to renew your CEA credentials for the next year:
20 EA Development Units must be reported per year for a total of 60 in a refreshment period, with member profiles updated and signed, after payment of the FEA Fellow dues.

They will be emailed to the last address we have on file. If, for some reason that address is no longer correct (nor forwarded to you) you must update address in your online profile or call FEAC to provide an updated address. If at any point you are lost before completing a step, don't worry, just click "Renewals" (top menu) to refresh the CEAR Process Checklist links again.
  • Step 1) Once logged in, click on "Renew CEA Credential" (from the Members drop down menu) and follow the wizard displayed and make the payment of the $99.00 fee. An email receipt of payment will be sent for your records (or reimbursement process).
  • Step 2) Update the Enterprise Architecture Development Units (EADUs). Click here to report EADUs. Once there, click the EADU Report tab, and then, after the page displays, click on the button "Add New". Next fill in the qualifying necessary information for Events and Activities and then click on save.
  • Step 3) After at least 20 EADUs per year, 60 total for a refreshment period are reported and saved, be sure to update your membership profile, before you exit. Current email addresses and phone numbers are requested so we can stay in touch about FEAC sponsored activities and opportunities, many of which qualify as EADUs. Membership profiles must be updated whenever you have a change in your contact emails or phone numbers so that we can send reminders for credential renewals.

Please note that all EADUs are reported via the CEA Fellows honor system. See CEAR FAQs and Policy Definitions.
